L-3 Telemetry-West’s parabolic antennas are designed to provide high operating efficiency, durability and ease of installation to meet a broad spectrum of transmission needs.
PARABOLIC ANTENNAS
A range of parabolic antennas covering the 3.6-15.3 GHz bands is available for both portable and fixed installations.
Reflectors are fabricated of reinforced fiberglass for maximum strength and durability. Reflective surfaces are held to close tolerances using the latest manufacturing techniques to present a highly-accurate radiating surface.
Center-fed illumination is provided by a modified Cutler feed which is sturdy, reliable, and ideal for rear mounting. Plane polarized feeds are provided with a rear plate readout of polarization. Optional feeds are
available in dual or circular polarization. Antennas may be easily converted to any frequency in the 3.6-15.3 GHz range simply by changing the feed.
PORTABLE
Portable (tripod) mount antennas are available in two, four and six-foot models. A Type-N coax connector is normally provided and a waveguide flange connector is optional. A tripod mount assembly is available. Optional brackets are provided for pipe mounting and for mounting the radio at the antenna. Weight is held to the minimum consistent with strength and rigidity. For example, a four-foot reflector weighs about 30 pounds (13.6 kg). Unique captive hardware allows the antenna to be quickly installed and adjusted by one person. |
